Grower who arrived in Oregon in 1977, planted Seven Springs Vineyard in the Eola Hills in 1982 and became Chemeketa Community College's first college-credit viticulture instructor. He was LIVE's first president, wrote its initial guidelines, and chaired the Oregon Wine Advisory Board.
